John Carl Martin is a gifted artist and author who draws on his memories of growing up in Barbados, and the simple joys of spending time with his daughter, as inspiration for their books. A Rainy Day is the 3rd release in the series, What Makes Me Happy, What Brings Me Joy, and was inspired by their mutual love for rain. The original images and concept used to develop this book series were created with his daughter, Destiny J. Martin.

Destiny Martin is a happy and passionate young lady with amazing artistic abilities and a keen fashion sense. She has a great love for animals, nature, and the environment. Destiny hopes to be a marine biologist one day in addition to pursuing the arts. Her artistic vision will continue to be an inspiration to all~
